And then there’s Dark Matter.
Sounds spooky doesn’t it?
We know that Darkness is not a good thing in Scripture, however, we need to test the Spirits here and use a little discernment.
Just because Man uses the word ‘Dark’ to describe Dark Matter, doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s actually Dark or… that it even consists of Matter for that matter (pun intended).
So the first thing we need to do is find out just exactly what this ‘Dark Matter’ is and whether it’s really Dark or not.
Thankfully, Scientists have accumulated enough data over the years on Dark Matter so that we have at least a basic understanding of it.
Let’s start with Wikipedia…
“Dark matter is a hypothetical kind of matter that cannot be seen with telescopes but would account for most of the matter in the universe”
OK, so we know that it’s theoretical at this point, meaning no one has actually proved its existence yet in a Laboratory.
Not to worry…
Scripture can fill in the blanks for us!
Now, according to the Wikipedia link…
“dark matter is estimated to constitute 84.5% of the total matter in the universe”
That’s a lot of Matter! Why can’t we see it?
Ah yes, this is where the term ‘Dark’ really isn’t telling the entire story.
For you see…
When Scientists actually describe Dark Matter, they claim that the name is actually misleading.
Dark Matter, they conclude, is more like a ‘Sea of Glass’.
"And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God"
Look at that!
Could that verse actually be a description of Dark Matter right there in the Book of Revelation?
More on that in a bit.
Once one knows that Dark Matter actually looks like a Sea of Glass, one can begin looking for it.
And sure enough, Scientists have found Dark Matter all throughout the Cosmos, looking exactly like a Sea of Glass mingled with fire…
Isn’t She beautiful?
What we are looking at is a computer generated recreation of Dark Matter.
The little points of Fire are Galaxies, mingled inside a watery looking ‘Sea’ of Dark Matter ‘Glass’.
Oh but wait, there’s more. Much more.
If we look closely at this Hubble image, we can actually see the effects of Dark Matter…
Notice anything peculiar?
The Galaxies look as if they are ‘swirling’ around the center of the photo, almost as if someone accidentally spun the camera around while filming.
See all of those little circular ‘arcs’ of light?
No, that is not a flaw in the Hubble Space Telescope, that is how that area of Space actually appears naturally. Weird eh?
These strange looking artifacts are caused by something called Gravitational Lensing...
“A gravitational lens refers to a distribution of matter (such as a cluster of galaxies) between a distant source and an observer, that is capable of bending the light from the source, as it travels towards the observer”
Basically what is happening in the photo is similar to what happens when one looks through a Fish Eye Lens…
The ‘Glass’ in the ‘Sea’ is shaped in such a way as to bend light as it passes through it.
Here is an even more dramatic example of Gravitational Lensing…
And here is a simulation…
Another very important aspect of Dark Matter is it’s uncanny ability to attract and ‘nurture’ ordinary Matter.
In other words…
It’s as if Dark Matter is a sort of ‘Cosmic Mother’ that ‘corrals’ her young under her wings while providing shelter and comfort.
Whenever we look at a Galaxy swirling about or large clusters of Galaxies dancing and playing, what we are in fact witnessing are the very subtle gravitational effects of Dark Matter… gently shepherding her flock of Stars and Planets into the familiar shapes that we see all throughout the Cosmos…
Because only someone with Great Wisdom could create such masterpieces of flower-
“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding”
“For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold”
"She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her"
"Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour"
We are talking about Wisdom again… a feminine concept in Scripture.
In a previous chapter, we learned that Wisdom is associated with the Mother of us all…
"But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all"
New Jerusalem to be precise.
So therefore, it is only logical that we find the Sea of Glass as part of her construct…
“And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind”
Hey, would you look at that?
The Four Living Creatures are right there!
I wonder what they represent?
Let’s see if we can find another Witness…
"And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass"
The City inside New Jerusalem was made out of Transparent Gold!!!
How in the world did that Top Secret info get in there?!?!
Yes, it would seem that the LORD has truly blessed us with some of the most cutting edge Science our puny little minds can handle… and then some.
OK, one more Witness…
"And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass"
There it is again.
A perfect description of Dark Matter… Transparent Glass made of Pure Gold, more precious than Rubies…
So much for Dark Matter being ‘in the dark’ so to speak.
Hopefully, Scientists will be a little more respectful when naming their new discoveries in the future.
Can it get any more obvious than this?
Like we mentioned earlier, there is more, much more.
I hope you are sitting down for this!
It just so happens that when Astronomers gathered enough data about Dark Matter throughout the entire visible Universe, they were finally able to lay it all out onto a visual graphic.
What they saw sent shock waves across the globe when word got out…
Do you see it?
How about now?
Dark Matter forms intergalactic patterns resembling Neurons!
"When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth"
"When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep"
"When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth"
"Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him"
One last thing worth mentioning...
There is a very interesting verse that can only be found in the 1611 King James Bible that may give us another tantalizing clue as to what Dark Matter is really all about...
1 Corinthians 13:12
"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known"
Glass Darkly/Dark Glass?
Could this just be a strange coincidence?
Now, the word 'Glass' here is generally understood to mean a 'Mirror', however... when was the last time you looked 'through' the Mirror as opposed to 'at' it?
Yes, the famous book "Through the Looking Glass" may have been inspired by that verse as well as countless other stories...
I think we're on to something.
Let's keep going...
If we look at the verses preceding 1 Corinthians 13:12, a clearer picture emerges as to what this 'Glass Darkly' is all about...
1 Corinthians 13:10
"But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away"
When our perfect, glorified body arrives, our old one will be done away with.
How will this be accomplished?
By being Born Again of course, via the Mother of us all...
Yes, in addition to the New Jerusalem Multiverse Portal, the Woman of the Apocalypse with the Crown of Twelve Stars is also a picture of New Jerusalem.
The Manchild she gives birth to not only represents Jesus, but the saved as well.
Next verse please...
1 Corinthians 13:11
"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things"
OK, now it's becoming very obvious.
Seeing through a Glass Darkly is all about our lack of Wisdom and Understanding as Humans upon this Planet. We are like children in the Eyes of God.
We must somehow 'get to the other side' as it were, by going through this 'Glass Portal' and becoming Born Again, thus seeing clearly for the first time.
It is no wonder why this concept is ‘reflected’ so much in today’s culture…
It’s almost as if there is an agenda.
As if the entire Human Race is being prepared…
